There are a lot of variants within the different network security cameras, including vandal resistant, daytime and nighttime cameras, and the pan, tilt and zoom cameras. The day and night cameras, also referred to as the night vision cameras, are able to capture the images in color during the day, but at night they are in black and white. When you have a camera with the pan, tilt and zoom capabilities you are going to be able to control everything around your camera remotely. This will give you the added bonus of being able to maneuver the camera to a position that is going to be ideal for all of your needs and viewing ranges.
Wireless network cameras are of the other variants in cameras, which are going to give you the ability to operate them without having to use any network cables.
